Cookie of the Month Club

This year instead of giving my nieces and nephews a present or money for their birthdays I've decided to bake them cookies once a month for a whole year! I enrolled them in my own personal Cookie-Of-The-Month Club! My sweet little niece just turned three and to kick off my year long present I wrapped up a box of homemade banana cake cookies with cream cheese frosting and made a cookie card explaining to the family about their present. Check it out:

Wonderful idea. I would do this if I lived closer to my family and if I thought I could keep up with it!

this is such a WONDERFUL idea! I am sure kids get so many presents that this is something they can celebrate every month! Would love for you to come link up to Handmade Tuesdays next week @ Ladybug Blessings. www.ladybug-blessings.com

This is a cute idea. Came over here by way of House of Hepworths.

I found you via the Pretty Packages Party. I love this idea, partly because I love to bake cookies but don't love having them around for me to eat! This is the perfect solution, and such a personalized and appreciated gift.

Such a neat idea! I love to bake, perhaps I could do this as well for my nephews. Unfortunately I don't live close, so I'd have to mail them, but that's a cool idea.

Now that's a GREAT idea! I'll have to remember that and maybe use something similar with the children I teach at church - wouldn't they love that! :)

That's a GREAT idea. And I like that you include the recipe each month. Wish my family lived closer so I could do something like this. But I'll tuck it away in case I find someone close by that I need to make cookies for each month.

I am crazy about your cookie of the month idea! I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to get a gift like this for someone but don't because I can't afford what they charge! Never thought to just make it myself! Hope you'll take a peek at my first try at fancy sugar cookies on my blog from yesterday! :) Karen

Such a thoughtful idea! I sometimes find myself wishing my family would do something like this for everyone for Christmas...just homemade gifts. Again, very thoughtful. And I bet the little ones in your family have enjoyed this gift longer than they would have some toy.
